Intentionally random

A polar bear soap dispenser, the art work of a male bowerbird and flowers creeping out onto a terrace gate. Three random things. One is in my bathroom, one is a fixture outside my office and one I walk by on my way to work. All polaroid worthy. Polaroid 636 Close-up and Polaroid 600 film.

These are a few of my favourite things. I will keep these two forever, they turned out just incredible, but perhaps that has a lot to do with the people in them. They will always make things better when I'm feeling sad. Polaroid 636 Close-up and Polariod 600 film.

Instant coffee is yuck

But instant film.. yes please! If you ever fell off it.. get back on it.. this train is back in a big way. It has been so fun to rediscover the type of instant photography that captured my childhood. Now I have Polaroids that I have taken to go along with the collection of Polaroids taken of me and my family when I was very young. Not enough good things to say. A few more mishaps

A few more of those photos where the shutter on my Spotmatic got stuck. The bottom one looks like someone is peeling it off the page. Kinda cool. Kinda weird. I dunno. I like it.

Which way is up

Pentax Spotmatic. What would either be Lomography 800 or Kodak 400 (I need to start writing these things down). Somehow, it's better upside down.

My boyfriend's back

So this will be the second post that my boyfriend's photos have made a cameo in - we don't always agree when it comes to photography - but I have to admit he's good and these ones need to be shared. If I needed to guess I'd say these ones were taken with his Pentax K1000 and Kodak 400 film.

The top one he took in Brisbane, the middle two in New Zealand and the bottom one in Bulli.

As I get more rolls developed, more photos from Airlie Beach surface. Here's a few more that I thought were worth sharing. Pentax Spotmatic and unfortunately, I forget the film.

 

135 dollars

 

Money well spent. Used a Lomography Fisheye and expired Agfa Vista-200 film to preserve these beauties. Now they live, dried, in that same place on my vanity. A little less impressive but the sentiment is still in bloom.

Point Street

Point Street, Bulli, one of my favourite places. I took the photo above with my Pentax Spotmatic when we went for a walk one day. On that same walk we also picked up a bike for 20 bucks. Then the bike made a cameo in photo below which the boy took with my camera, I think it's pretty awesome. Now we'll always remember that walk. 

Tryin' new things

So I have finally decided to start playing around with some of the filters that come along with a Holga camera in the Holga starter kit. These are what I have come up with so far. I'll keep practising and posting.

A shutter mishap

When my shutter gets stuck, generally it pisses me off. However, these two I quite enjoy. Pentax Spotmatic and Lomography 800.
